Andrea Korn, LCSW

Clinical Psychotherapist

Andrea Korn is a Licensed Social Worker in NJ. She collaborates with children, teens, young adults, and their families to strengthen emotion regulation, impulse control, effective communication, and healthy relationships. Andrea utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that incorporates evidence-based practices from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She helps clients strengthen their ability to navigate life’s challenges by teaching mindfulness and somatic-based exercises as well as executive functioning, communication, and social skills. Using warmth, humor, and curiosity, she creates an affirming space where people can show up as they are.

While working in settings such as school, Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Outpatient Program, and community mental health, Andrea has supported patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, behavioral issues, and school-related challenges. She is also a school-based therapist for elementary and middle school students, providing in-school counseling, family therapy, and parent coaching, while helping families navigate IEPs, 504 plans, and academic support. She has received specialized training in providing mental health treatment to children and teens, and holds a certificate in Promoting Child and Adolescent Wellbeing.

Andrea earned her Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University, where she was a Rutgers University Behavioral Youth (RUBY) Fellow and completed an Area of Emphasis in LGBTQ-Affirming Social Work. She graduated cum laude from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development.

Outside of her clinical work, Andrea values connection, presence, and helping others in everyday life. She enjoys cooking, volunteering, yoga, singing along to the radio, and spending time with friends and family.
